Toyota Unveils All-New FT-AC Concept at Los Angeles Auto Show

Published on November 30 2017

With its Toyota FT-AC (Future Toyota Adventure Concept) concept, Japanese automaker Toyota took advantage of the Los Angeles Auto Show to present its vision of what a sport utility vehicle should be able to offer in terms of outdoor fun and mobility. In other words, the Toyota FT-AC has everything you need to tackle your next adventure.

Toyota FT-AC: An off-road vehicle concept that stands out

The Toyota FT-AC is still in the concept stage, but it will eventually be a sport utility vehicle that stands out on many different levels, but mainly in terms of its versatility and its ability to meet the needs of an active buyer.

If Toyota chose the Los Angeles International Auto Show to unveil its concept, it is because the people of Los Angeles are the perfect example of customers who want to leave the city as soon as the opportunity arises to head to the beach, or in the mountains east of the city. So that's why Toyota chose to introduce this concept at the Los Angeles show, an auto show known primarily for its unveiling of production models.

That said, if the public’s reaction is positive, it is likely that one day we will see the Toyota FT-AC on our roads, probably as a complement or even a replacement of the Toyota 4Runner.

Under the hood, the FT-AC will offer the ability to lock the differential and its engine will be a hybrid system that combines fuel economy and robustness. The Japanese manufacturer, however, did not offer more information about the engine that will propel the FT-AC.

In addition to delivering an engine that stands out in terms of efficiency and performance, the Toyota FT-AC will also offer roof-mounted LED lights that can be remotely controlled to light up your campsite at night, and a Wi-Fi system will also be offered.

As we wait for the Toyota FT-AC to be unveiled as a production vehicle, contact us today at Kingston Toyota to learn more about our lineup of new Toyota sport utility vehicles!
