A sneekpeak of the 2016 Toyota Prius

Two weeks ago at the Frankfurt Auto Show, Toyota unveiled the all-new Prius, the fourth generation of its famous hybrid car. But more than Toyota’s hybrid car, this is THE hybrid car. A pioneer of sorts.

That said, Toyota did not release much information about the next Prius. We will have to wait a few more weeks until the Tokyo Auto Show gets underway to learn more about the technical specifications of the world’s best-selling hybrid car.

The 2016 Toyota Prius relies on efficiency

We do know a few things however. The Prius’ gasoline engine is now more efficient, improving by about 40 %. In addition, a new modular platform will provide a more dynamic drive while the electric motors’ range in fully electric mode increase to 50 kilometers.

That's all we know for now. Meanwhile, here's a video of the new Prius pending more detailed information that will follow at the end of the month in Tokyo.
